About cloud & devops solutions

Cloud spending is easy to start and hard to control. Most organisations we audit are paying for capacity they do not use, in architectures assembled incrementally without anyone owning the overall design.

Cost is an architectural property

Cloud bills are shaped by decisions made at design time — instance sizing, storage classes, data transfer paths, managed versus self-hosted services. Tagging, budgets, and alerting matter, but the largest savings usually come from architecture rather than from housekeeping.

Infrastructure as code, without exception

Manually configured infrastructure cannot be reliably reproduced, reviewed, or recovered. Everything we build is defined in Terraform so environments are consistent, changes are reviewable, and disaster recovery is a documented procedure rather than an act of memory.

Deployment should be routine

If releasing is stressful, releases become rare, which makes each one larger and riskier. We build pipelines with automated testing, staged environments, and straightforward rollback so deploying is unremarkable.

Observability before incidents

Logging, metrics, tracing, and alerting are set up before you need them. The worst time to discover you have no visibility is during an outage, and alerting tuned to genuine user impact prevents the fatigue that makes teams ignore pages.

Capabilities

What the engagement includes

Cloud architecture & review

Design or audit against cost, reliability, and security objectives.

Infrastructure as code

Terraform-defined environments that are reviewable and reproducible.

CI/CD pipelines

Automated testing, staged deploys, and straightforward rollback.

Containerisation & orchestration

Docker and Kubernetes where the workload justifies it.

Monitoring & alerting

Metrics, logs, traces, and alerts tuned to real user impact.

Cost optimisation

Right-sizing, storage tiering, and commitment planning.

Outcomes

What you get

The measurable results this service is accountable for.

  • Cloud spend reduced through architecture, not just housekeeping
  • Environments reproducible from version-controlled code
  • Deployments routine and reversible rather than stressful
  • Observability in place before incidents happen
  • Documented disaster recovery you have actually tested
How we work

A process without surprises

Clear checkpoints at every stage, so you always know what is shipping and when.

1Discovery & scoping2Architecture & design3Build & review4Launch & support
  1. 1

    Discovery & scoping

We map requirements, users, integrations, and constraints, then agree scope and a fixed quote before work starts.

  2. 2

    Architecture & design

Technical architecture and user flows are agreed and prototyped before implementation begins.

  3. 3

    Build & review

Development in reviewable increments, with a staging environment you can see and comment on throughout.

  4. 4

    Launch & support

Performance and security checks, documented handover, deployment, and an agreed support window after go-live.

Why iDream

We treat cost as an architectural decision and define everything in code, so environments are reproducible and spend is predictable.

FAQ

Common questions

Which cloud provider should we use?
Usually the one your team already knows. Capability differences between AWS, Azure, and GCP matter far less than operational familiarity. Azure often wins where Microsoft licensing and identity are already in place; GCP is strong for data and ML workloads.
How much can we save on cloud costs?
Reductions of thirty to fifty percent are common in environments that grew without architectural ownership, mostly from right-sizing, storage tiering, and eliminating idle resources. We quantify this in the audit before proposing work.
Do we need Kubernetes?
Frequently not. Kubernetes solves real problems at scale but adds substantial operational overhead. For a handful of services, managed container platforms are simpler and cheaper to run. We recommend it only when the complexity is justified.
Can you work with our existing infrastructure?
Yes. Most engagements begin with infrastructure that already exists. We audit, document, bring it under infrastructure as code incrementally, and improve it without a disruptive rebuild.
